The best film in the Indian Century.. PART 2

I was just running through old posts and I came across this one where im talking about Manichitrathazhu and its successors....

Back when i wrote it, the Bollywood version of the film was under production.... Now that its out(it came out sometime last year...) i thot it would be only fair to have the video for comparison...

Bhool Bhulayiaa has Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan coming together...AGAIN... and thankfully Priyadarshan has stuck to remaking one story here... (he has an annoying habbit of mixing up two or three malayalam films in a single remake!!!) Akshay and Vidya have done well... but Shiney was a miscast according to me... I cant see what the fuss is all about around Shiney.... all i could think of when i see him act is that... He's LOUD! Priyan has tried to bring in the comedy track from the Mal version... however, that is the downfall of the movie...(atleast for us Malayalees who have seen Manichitrathazhu a million times!) There is no Innocent or Ganesh Kumar or Pappu.... Instead we have Paresh Rawal, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav who fail miserably in our eyes.... But ofcourse, we hear the Bollywood audience loved it!! (Imagine how much more they would have loved the comedy if they actually heard Innocent.. "Kuthum njan..kuthum"! :- i'll poke you...)

Here's a link to the PART 1 post thats related to this and has the videos of the other three version.
